Reproduction Machines

Assalamualaikum.
Hi. Been a while.
Can't say you've been missed but your presence is much appreciated. ^-^
This is going to be a short post. You see, i'm in my Chemistry class and i should be revising my paper. But it's Monday. (Excuse: it's Monday)

It's no strange concept, reproduction (though i personally hate the term because human reproduction makes humans sound just like another species of cow, but no matter).

As a Muslim; now i am being very stereotypical but stereotypes originate from at least a smidgen of truth, we know that when it comes to having kids, it's always better to have more. I mean, it's ONE of the main purposes of marriage.

Don't get me wrong. 10 kids sound terrific. 12? The more the merrier.

But dreams need to be realistic. And hey, i'm a dreamer so you can take my advice.

A few months ago, i read somewhere about prioritising quality over quantity. Of course, i knew this, but funnily enough, we sort of forget logical concepts when we arent reminded. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense.

If you aren't aware of it yet, i haven't finished The Ideal Muslimah. A section in the book explained how it is a woman's duty to raise good muslims. Of course, this is also a man's duty but since the book was named The Ideal Muslimah, it had no business mentioning that.

And here i stress, we are to RAISE good muslims, teach them proper values, yada yada.
Judge for yourself, 10 spiteful kids or just one kid that can change the world?
Take your pick.
Let that be the rule and have as many kids as you can manage.

Don't breed like cats. Sometimes they eat their young. Which is totally besides the topic, but FUN FACT!

It's kind of like picking a husband. We don't marry just so we can check it off our list.
If that were the case, i'd be asking hunky dudes i meet on the street "hey, i dont know you and you dont know me but i want to get married so do you want to do that?".
If, however, you feel like getting on a restraining order, be my guest. We need more drama anyways.

God, i'm rambling.

Back to the point.
What I mean to say is,
It's not encouraged to limit the number of kids you want.
eg: "I only want 3 kids."
But it is also not good to have too many kids that you cannot handle.

You're probably thinking, i'm too young to be talking about this. And i probably am.
I think about a lot of things.
Some more beneficial when shared.
Would you prefer to read about my endless fascination with dragons?

Naah. I didnt think so.

Love Overrules Beauty (Or Butt-Ugliness)

Assalamualaikum.

Hello peeps.

Don't worry. This is not an ad for a beauty campaign with cheesy slogans like 'A miracle in a bottle. Pre-order yours now!'
No no. Like I said, don't worry.

We are here to discuss (well technically, I'm discussing with the many personas that exist in my head) the connection of love with physical beauty.
Ready? Here we go.

Beauty? What is beauty?
Can you define it?
Is it fixed?
What determines it?
How come something so ugly on one person looks so beautiful on another?
Is beauty a curse or a blessing?
Does beauty change?
Does a person change from beauty?

Love questions? Lets not start.

There are countless questions when it comes to discussing anything.

So, we've already established the questions. Now, for the inspiration (you know me).

See here,
Sometimes my family members ask me about how I think they look. Beautiful? Average? Butt-ugly?
And for as long as I can remember, I have always said "I don't know." And I don't mean it in a dismissing way. I really mean it. I just have no clue.

Why? Because I love my family and when you love someone, the beauty part just becomes a blur; insignificant. You can't judge them from how they look because somehow it's all muted.
You now judge their beauty from what others say.
See my point?

And surely to Allah, beauty is insignificant as well.
How great is that?

Let's not care what others say, and love each other like we should. ^_^

Love is blind, after all.
